It was an absolute dream to work amongst so much unfettered creativity at Meow Wolf. The average workday was fueled by a sense of limitlessness, infinite possibility, with virtually no barriers to creativity outside of obvious portrayals of absurdity. I was afforded the opportunity to work cross-departmentally, producing deliverables for nearly every department outside of accounting. I created digital banners for IT, company wide presentations, graphic artwork for exhibits, promotional materials for events, merchandise, and more.

EXTRA! EXTRA! Collaborating Artist Announcement.
It was a great honor to be selected to aid in the production of the Collaborating Artist Announcement for Meow Wolf’s upcoming Houston location. Harkening to the mysterious storyline of the new location, the design nods to the general essence of the exhibition, while incorporating the esoteric irreverence and maximalism Meow Wolf is known for. Deliverables included social media carousels, emails, flyers, and web headers.

ART DIRECTION. DESIGN.
The Visual Development department at Meow Wolf (internally referred to as Vis Dev) hosts an annual retreat in Santa Fev, New Mexico for it’s members. Each year, there is an internal competition to design the retreat t shirt- all designs are submitted and a group vote determines the winner. My shirt was selected for the 2023 retreat held at OJO.
The design exhibits references to occult imagery such as those belonging to the Freemasons as well as other organizations to represent the cult status that Meow Wolf upholds. I remixed the graphic logo and their mascot Snaggy to fit the theme and added some additional icons that both tie in to exhibit narratives as well as make no sense at all (tennis ball). At the bottom of the graphic a hotdog wiener pierced with a wooden stick says “Come to OJO they said, it will be fun they said”.

During my time at Meow Wolf, they participated in their second year of the annual hot air balloon festival Balloon Fiesta hosted in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was on a team of designers in charge of producing the artwork and merchandise for the event. I was tasked with creating the collectors pin, sweatshirt, and mug that became sold out items in the Meow Wolf merch store in their Santa Fe location.
